Having downplayed the reports that Algerian and Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has retired from professional football, the Foxes will look to him for inspiration.
The King Power Stadium-based club will face off against West Bromwich Albion this weekend and have quashed reports regarding the player’s retirement.
A Facebook post emerged on Tuesday where the player appeared to announce his retirement from the game based on medical grounds.
In their response, City said the player’s social page was hacked and will now hope this will not affect his performance on Saturday.
Ahead of this crucial clash at home, the club has since released statistics based on the 26-year-old’s performances so far this term.
He has netted nine goals including his stunning set piece against AFC Bournemouth last weekend to secure a 1-1 draw.
Apart from finding the back of the net, he has managed seven assists as well as 11 defence splitting through balls.
With such fantastic stats, manager Claude Puel will want to have his man ready for the clash against the Baggies away at the Hawthorns.
