Egyptian giants Al Ahly player Junior Ajayi is ecstatic after receiving a call up to the Nigeria senior national team.
The 22-year-old striker has been named in the Super Eagles squad which will face Poland and Serbia in FIFA international matches later this month.
Nigeria's first friendly match will be against Poland in Wroclaw on Friday, March 23, 2018. Four days later, they will face Serbia in England.
The two matches are part of Nigeria’s preparations for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup finals which will be hosted by Russia.
Ajayi took to Twitter to express his happiness at receiving his first ever call up to the Super Eagles.
"With grateful heart and total respect to the family of @NGSuperEagles and all #Nigerians, this invitation to our National Team is a dream come true," he said.
''I will make you all proud by the grace of God. Thank You #CoachRorh. Thank you @AlAhly. #AjayiJnr #Russia2018'."
The Super Eagles are in Group D alongside Argentina, Iceland and Croatia at this year's World Cup finals.
