Moroccan midfielder Faycal Fajr says his focus remains on his Spanish club Getafe, with the prospect of playing at the 2018 World Cup not yet a concern.
The 29-year-old has made 22 appearances and scored one goal for his side in La Liga this season.
"At the moment, I do not think too much about the World Cup. The most important thing is to have a good season with my club,” Fajr told Al Massae in an interview published today.
In regards to coming up against Portugal and Spain in their World Cup group, Fajr has spoken to teammates and noted their lack of knowledge in regards to Morocco’s team.
"I always tell my Portuguese teammate Gabriel Antunes that they will know what Morocco is worth in the field,” explained the midfielder.
Fajr and Getafe will next be in action when they face Real Sociedad away from home in a La Liga clash next weekend.
