Arsenal’s Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted frustration at the UEFA Europa League rule which prevents him from playing in Europe for his new club.
The Panthers attacker scored in the weekend’s 3-0 win over Watford in the Premier League, but is not able to demonstrate that form in the Gunners’ Europa League campaign.
This is because Aubameyang’s former club Borussia Dortmund, dropped into the Europa League from the Champions League.
So even though the player didn’t represent BVB in the Europa League, he is cup-tied until the end of the 2017/18 season.
"I am really frustrated because the rules are a bit - I don't know how to say in English but I am disappointed because I can't help my team," he said.
"That's life. I have to deal with it. I can't play every three days. When I was in Dortmund, I was playing every three days but now I play once a week or have a long time between games. It is not easy."
