Herve Renard reveals 28-man squad for March friendlies

Morocco coach Herve Renard has unveiled a 28-man squad for their international friendlies later this month.

The Atlas Lions are set to face Serbia in Turin on March 23 and Uzbekistan in Casablanca on March 27.

The squad features regulars such as Nabil Dirar, M'bark Boussoufa, Roman Saiss and Captain Mehdi Benatia, while 2018 African Nations Championship star Ayoub El Kaabi was rewarded for his heroics with a place in the list.

Morocco squad

Goalkeepers: Mounir El Kajoui (Numancia, Spain), Yassine Bounou (Girona, Spain), Ahmad Reda Tagnaouti (IRT, Morocco).

Defenders: Mehdi Benatia (Juvetnus, Italy), Romain Saiss (Wolverhampton, England), Achraf Hakimi (Real Madrid, Spain), Nabil Dirar (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Oualid El Hajjam (Amiens, France), Hamza Mendyl (LOSC, France), Badr Banoun (RCA), Marouan Da Costa (Basaksehir, Turkey).

Midfielders: Karim El Ahmadi (Feyenoord, Netherlands), Younes Belhanda (Galatasaray, Turkey), Hakim Ziyech (Ajax, Netherlands), Fayçal Fajr (Getafe, Spain), Soufiane Boufal (Southampton, England), Nordin Amrabat (Leganés, Spain), M'bark Boussoufa (Al Jazeera, UAE), Amine Harit (Schalke 04, Germany), Sofyan Amrabat (Feyenoord, Netherlands), Zakaria Labyad (Utrecht, Netherlands), Youssef Aït-Bennasser (Caen, France), Yassin Ayoub (Utrecht, Netherlands).
