Eight teams advanced to the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup play-off round on Sunday

Sevens teams advanced to the 2018 CAF Champions League group stage on Sunday, 18 March.

The sevens teams which lost on aggregate will take part in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup play-off round.

Nigerian club Plateau United beat Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel 1-0 at home and the latter booked their place in the next round after winning the tie 4-3 on aggregate. Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis edged out Kenyan champions Gor Mahia 1-0 at home and the former advanced to the group stage after winning 1-0 on aggregate.

ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast were beaten 2-1 by Zambian club ZESCO United at home and the two teams drew 2-2 on aggregate. As a result, ZESCO progressed into the next round after winning on the away goals rule. South African side Mamelodi Sundowns brushed aside Rayon Sports of Rwanda 2-0 at home and the former advanced to the next stage after winning 2-0 on aggregate.

Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman thrashed Togolese side AS Togo Port 3-1 at home. The tie ended in a 3-3 draw on aggregate and Togo-Port advanced to the group stage after winning on the away goals rule.Algerian side ES Setif thumped Ghanaian outfit Aduana 4-0 at home and the former progressed into the next round after winning 4-1 on aggregate.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) giants AS Vita Club drew 2-2 with Moroccan club Difaa El Jadida at home and the latter booked their place in the group stage in the group stage after winning 3-2 on aggregate.
