PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Christian Atsu – Ghanaian opens his heart for charity

Newcastle United’s Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu showed his charitable side last week in helping Arms Around the Child raise money for their cause.

Atsu was the host at the Hilton Hotel in Newcastle on March 14 for the Black Star Gala and took to Twitter to express his thanks, with the charity looking to build a community school in his home country.

The 26-year-old has since joined Newcastle on their warm-weather training camp in Spain, where they have been preparing for the resumption of the Premier League at the end of the month.

Newcastle face a must-win clash against fellow relegation candidates Huddersfield Town on March 31.
