Hearts of Oak coach Henry Wellington has expressed satisfaction with debutant Joseph Esso following his performance against Eleven Wonders in the Ghana Premier League.
The 2018 GPL finally got underway this past weekend and one of the best matches saw Hearts and Wonders play to a 1-1 draw.
Esso, who made his first appearance for the Accra-based side, put in an impressive showing and won the penalty from which Winful Cobbinah scored. Despite this, Wellington believes the newcomer still has more to give.
“Esso did well but it was not like the other days. I must say he will not get his day every time but he did very well and had the penalty for us,” the coach told his club's official website.
“I expect him to improve because there’s more room for improvement for him.”
