Ivory Coast and Crystal Palace attacker Wilfried Zaha has described this past weekend’s win over Huddersfield as “massive”.

Palace claimed a vital 2-0 away win over Terriers on Saturday, a result which lifted them to 16th spot and a two-point buffer to the Premier League’s relegation zone.

"No-one wants to be in the bottom three, so winning this game is big mentally for everyone," Zaha said to the Croydon Advertiser.

"This is a massive win, obviously mentally for the squad going into the next game against Liverpool.”

Zaha also spoke about his battle to regain fitness before the end of the season, having only recently returned from a knee injury.

"I have worked hard to get back and it is nice to be back out on the pitch, and back with the team and I am trying to help us to get the points to climb up the league," he explained.

"This is a big win [at Huddersfield]. I have always known that the team is good enough and it is just about producing the performances.

"We have got the players – if you look at the team on paper, we have got good enough players and it is all about performing."
