Fresh from a 1-0 win over Genoa last Sunday in the Italian Serie A, Senegal and Napoli SSC defender Kalidou Koulibaly will now turn his focus to the national team.
The Lions of Teranga are up against Uzbekistan and Bosnia- Herzegovina in this FIFA international break as they prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in June.
Coach Aliou Cisse has called-up the central defender for their double header of friendly matches against Uzbekistan in Morocco on March 23 and Bosnia in France four days later.
Koulibaly started for Partenopei last weekend and was instrumental for the Italian side as they bagged a win to keep their Serie A title hopes alive.
"Tonight’s game was very tough because Genoa have one of the best away defensive records in the league," said Maurizio Sarri after the game.
"For us the most important thing was to get back to winning ways – that was key after two matches without a victory.
"Juventus usually seal the Scudetto with games to spare – at least the battle is still to be won. That’s certainly credit to us."
