Nigeria international John Obi Mikel is set to miss the Super Eagles’ clash with Poland’s White and Reds.
The Super Eagles are scheduled to face the White and Reds in an international friendly match at the Stadion Miejski Wroclaw in Poland on Friday.
Obi, who plays for Chinese side Tianjin Teda, is unlikely to make it to Wroclaw as he has been working hard at renewing his work permit in China.
Super Eagles team administrator Dayo Enebi Achor confirmed this when speaking to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) website.
“We all had been hoping that the renewal would come in good time for him to fly to Poland,” he said.
“As it is now, it is not likely that he would make the trip.”
Nigeria are expected to travel to England where they are scheduled to face Serbia in another international friendly match on Tuesday.
It remains to be seen whether Obi, 30, will make the trip to England where the Super Eagles will clash with the Eagles of Serbia at The Hive Stadium.
