Zimbabwean international defender Costa Nhamoinesu has been ruled out of the squad that is participating at the Four Nations tournament in Zambia.
The centre back missed the clash against Chipolopolo on Wednesday after the Sparta Prague man failed to make the trip in time for the competition.
Zimbabwe drew 2-2 against the 2012 African champions, but lost the match 5-4 on penalties whilst South Africa defeated Angola 6-5 via penalties.
According to ZIFA communications officer, Xolisani Gwesela, he confirmed Nhamoinesu's absence at the inaugural tournament.
"Costa Nhamoinesu has been dropped as there have been some travel hiccups involving him,” said Gwesela.
“He is no longer making the trip to Zambia for the four-nation tournament.
"No replacement has been called. All other players called for the assignment are ready.”
Having lost to the hosts, coach Sunday Chidzambwa will now hope to beat Angola in the third place play-off on Saturday.
