Nigeria have handed midfielder Mikel Agu a last-minute call up ahead of their international friendly against Serbia in London on Tuesday.
The Turkish-based player will be brought into the squad to cover for several injury doubts, following the Super Eagles’ 1-0 win over Poland in a bruising encounter on Friday night.
Manager Gernot Rohr also revealed that Al Ahly forward Junior Ajayi will join the team in London, while Oghenekaro Etebo's availability is not certain.
“We lost players through injury, we have other players who can arrive for our injured players especially Mikel Agu who will come. He plays in Turkey, same club with our captain today,” Rohr said after the game against the Poles.
“Also Junior Ajayi will come from Egypt, he had a problem with his visa but he will come. So we have these players.
“Perhaps Etebo too, Etebo was injured, we are waiting for the report from the doctors. If he comes, it will be nice for us and we will be able to have a good match against Serbia.
“I want to thank officials of the Polish Federation for the warm welcome they gave us and for the very good atmosphere we had in our hotel and also in our training session.”
