Botswana overcome Lesotho in Gaborone

Botswana secured a narrow victory over Lesotho in an international friendly match.

The encounter took place at the National Stadium in Gaborone on Saturday afternoon.

Tebogo Sembowa scored the only goal of the match in the closing stages of the game

The 1-0 win over Likuena extended the Zebras' unbeaten run to three matches in international friendlies.

David Bright's side had recorded a victory over Ethiopia and a draw against Gabon before facing Lesotho.

Botswana were using the game as preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The Zebras are scheduled to face Angola away in a Group I match in September 2018.
