Nigerian midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo has been ruled out of the international friendly between the Super Eagles and Serbia in London on Tuesday night.
Allnigeriasoccer reports that the 22-year-old, who missed the friendly win over Poland on Friday and did not train with the team on Sunday, will not take to the field at the Hive Stadium tomorrow.
Etebo suffered a quad strain in Las Palmas’ 2-0 loss to Villarreal earlier in the month and has been unable to recover in time to play in Nigeria’s March friendlies, despite being called into the squad by coach Gernot Rohr.
Las Palmas will hope Etebo recovers in time to play in their next La Liga fixture, a tough home match against Real Madrid on Saturday evening.
Nigeria, meanwhile, saw Junior Ajayi, Gabriel Okechukwu and Mikel Agu take a full part in training and they are all set to be available to face Serbia.
