The Football Association of Zambia president Andrew Kamanga says they will review coach Wedson Nyirenda’s progress.

Kamanga said his association will convene a technical committee meeting to discuss Nyirenda’s future.

FAZ is under pressure from the Chipolopolo faithful who are constantly calling for the sacking of ‘Wada Wada’.

This has been compounded by their 2-0 loss to South Africa this past Saturday in the Four Nations tournament.

“We are calling a technical committee and I don’t want to pre-empt what will be discussed there,” he said to Muvi Tv.

“Certainly, we are going to review his (Wedson Nyirenda) performance.”

Kamanga also revealed that he is aware that fans want the former Kaizer Chiefs goalscorer kicked out, but stated he doesn’t have absolute power to fire the embattled coach.

“Of course, I know there is general feeling that Wada must be kicked out almost immediately but I do not have the absolute power to fire,” added the boss.

“The process to review the coach’s performance against set targets is on-going.”

The report revealed that the government is bankrolling Nyirenda’s salary which is estimated to be around $10, 000. CLICK HERE TO VISIT AFRICAN FOOTBALL ZAMBIA
