Faouzi Ghoulam’s agent Jorge Mendes appears to be angling to get his client a move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils will be in the market for a left-back at the end of the season, with manager Jose Mourinho appearing to have lost patience with Luke Shaw.
The English defender was substituted at half time of United’s 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup on March 18.
Ghoulam earlier this year signed a new contract with Italian giants Napoli, but this hasn’t stopped his agent Mendes from looking into the potential of a summer move.
And Mendes is also the agent for both Mourinho and United goalkeeper David de Gea, increasing the likelihood of a transfer to Old Trafford.
Ghoulam’s buy-out clause is reported to be in the region of £50-55million. The Algerian is currently recovering from a fractured kneecap he suffered last month.
