The Senegal international is set to miss Saturday's English Premier League game between Everton FC and Manchester City.
This is after Gueye returned from the Senegal camp carrying a thigh injury.
The central midfielder missed the Lions of Teranga's two FIFA international friendlies games against Uzbekistan and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Gueye was named on a list of players, who are expected to miss the game by Evening Standard.
"Everton have lost Idrissa Gueye (thigh) and Tom Davies (neck) over the international break. Ashley William is serving a ban for a red card."
"Sam Allardyce will also be without Gylfi Sigurdsson (knee) until May, joining Mason Holgate (knee), James McCarthy (calf) and Eliaquim Mangala, on loan from Saturday's opponents," a statement read.
Gueye has made 27 appearances in the league for Everton this season -netting once in the process.
