Crystal Palace and Senegal defender Pape Soure has reportedly entered into voluntary insolvency to deal with his financial problems.

According to the Daily Mail, Souare has gone bust despite earning a handsome salary of £30,000 a week with the London club.

The 27-year-old has entered into a voluntary insolvency arrangement, four months after it emerged he was being privately prosecuted over a car crash that almost ended his career.

It is understood Souare, who joined Palace from Lille in 2015 for £3.5million, has had problems with paying a tax bill and HMRC are one of his major creditors.

The Teranga Lions defender was on the bench for Palace’s 2-1 home loss to Liverpool on Saturday and has yet to appear in the Premier League this season.
