DR Congo international Yannick Bolasie’s goal against Manchester City was a ‘reward’ for a tireless display on Saturday night.
This is according to Everton FC coach Sam Allardyce, who was pleased with winger's display against the Citizens in an English Premier League (EPL) match at the Goodison Park.
Bolasie a beautiful goal from outside the box in the 63rd minute, but his strike proved to be a consolation goal as City went on to win 3-1 on the night.
“He did a good job,” Allardyce told club website.
“Not only with his work-rate but also in looking after one of the best full-backs in the world at the moment in Kyle Walker.
“He’s had to chase him up and down all day and he finally got his reward for that by the way he got the ball and finished," he continued.
"He produced a goal which lifted everybody and we tried to move on from there.”
The 28-year-old has made 11 appearances in the league for Everton this season - netting once in the process.
