Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says nothing has changed in Khama Billiat’s situation with the club.
The 27-year-old Zimbabwean will be out of contract at the end of the 2017/18 season. ‘Downs are hoping to convince him to sign a new deal, but the player appears to have his heart set on a move abroad.
Billiat has also been linked with Sundowns’ PSL rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.
When asked about Billiat’s situation with the Tshwane club, Mosimane said: “It’s still the same, nothing has changed.”
Despite seeming to be on his way out of the Brazilians’ camp, Billiat remains a key player and set up the opening goal for Percy Tau in a 2-1 win over Cape Town City in the Nedbank Cup this past weekend.
“He could play only 60 minutes. We needed him, you saw the first goal he contributed…he’s got experience,” Mosimane added.
