Ghana Premier League referee Samuel Sukah has reportedly received a four-match suspension after incorrectly awarding a penalty earlier this season.
Sukah awarded Ebusua Dwarfs what at the time was considered a very controversial penalty, helping them claim a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea at the Cape Coast Stadium in the first round of matches.
Winger Alhaji Mustapha was the Dwarfs player supposedly fouled in the box, with Sukah pointing to the spot despite being some distance away from the incident.
The Ghana FA disciplinary committee reviewed the penalty decision and has decided to hand down a four-match suspension. This means Sukah will only return to GPL matches in round eight.
