Raja Casablanca have been dealt a major blow with the news that defender Mohamed Oulhaj is set to be a long-term injury absentee.

The 30-year-old suffered an injury to a ligament in his right knee and will undergo an operation this week.

Oulhaj’s injury occurred in a Moroccan domestic clash between Raja and FUS Rabat this past weekend.

Raja will have to do without their star defender as they prepare to face Zanaco in the playoff round of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.

Raja will head to Lusaka, Zambia, for the first leg at the Nkoloma Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the return game in Casablanca set for April 17.
