The Everton FC central midfielder celebrated Senegal's Independence Day on Wednesday.

Gueye was amongst the Lions of Teranga stars, who took to social media to celebrate Senegal’s 58th Independence anniversary.

The West African nation gained its independence from France after breaking away from the Mali Federation – a merger with French Sudan on April 4, 1960.

Gueye, who missed Everton's 3-1 defeat to Manchester City in an English Premier League game last weekend, is currently nursing a thigh injury.
