Ghanaian forward Albert Adomah has been named in the EFL Championship team of the season for 2017/18.

The 30-year-old has been a key figure for Aston Villa through the campaign, scoring 14 goals in 33 league appearances to see the Birmingham club well placed to qualify for the promotion playoffs.

Alongside Adomah, the team of the season is made up of Wolverhampton Wanderers trio John Ruddy, Conor Coady and Ruben Neves, Fulham’s Ryan Fredericks, Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney, Norwich City’s James Maddison, Bobby Reid of Bristol City, Derby County midfielder Matej Vydra and former Chelsea captain, John Terry, a teammate of the Ghanaian at Villa.

Cardiff City’s Neil Warnock was named as the manager of the season, while the player of the season gong will be awarded to one of Cairney, Neves or Sessegnon. The 2018 EFL Awards will be held at the London Hilton on April 15.
