Katsina United midfielder Destiny Ashadi has revealed that he has attracted interest from a top Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club.
The talented player has flourished in the number 10 role for Katsina this season and he has been linked with Enyimba, Akwa United, Lobi Stars as well as Plateau United.
However, the attacker told the league’s official website that he will only leave Katsina for a foreign club.
“For an upcoming player like me, I like playing not sitting [on the bench], so I think if I am in Katsina I will have a lot of playing time,” he said.
“I’m not planning [to move] now. [However], the only plan I have is if I have any contact [outside the country] not in this country.
“I have a lot of offers even this season. Like presently one of the former champions are still calling me,” he continued.
“As at last season, Akwa United, Plateau United, Lobi Stars and Enyimba (were interested).
“But I just like staying here because of the playing time, it’s not because of the money or anything.”
Katsina, who are placed seventh on the league standings, will host 10th-placed Rivers United at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
