Algeria and Al Shabab striker Mohamed Benyettou has parted ways with the Saudi Arabian Premier League club as he terminates his contract with mutual consent.
Benyettou joined Al Shabab from Algerian side ES Setif in 2016 and since moving to Saudi Arabia he played 66 matches with the team, scoring 30 goals.
The 28-year-old forward played 22 games in the Saudi Professional League this term, and found the back of the net six times as well as registering three assists.
Al Shabab confirmed this week that the club have reached an agreement with Benyettou by mutual consent with the player giving up the remainder of his receivables.
This is after both parties failed to agree a new contract, according to the club statement and the club board thanked Benyettou for his contribution in the period he spent with the team, wishing him success in the future.
