Napoli provide injury update for Algeria's Ghoulam

Italian Serie A giants Napoli have revealed that Faouzi Ghoulam is recovering well from his injury.

The full-back has been nursing a injury which he sustained last November when he damaged his knee ligament in an UEFA Champions League encounter against English giants Manchester City.

The club released the following statement:

“As scheduled, Faouzi Ghoulam was examined at Villa Stuart this morning by Professor Mariani accompanied by Dr. De Nicola, Napoli’s team doctor."

“The condition of the Azzurri defender appeared to be very good. Ghoulam will have further checks at Villa Stuart within the next 15 days," a club statement read.

The 27-year-old left-back, who is a Algeria international, has made 11 appearances in Serie A for Napoli this season.
