Five CAF Confederation Cup matches were played on Sunday across the African continent.

Ghanaian side Aduana Stars thumped Fosa Juniors of Madagascar 6-1 at the Agyeman Badu Stadium in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Zakaria Mumuni, Elvis Opoku (brace), Bright Adjei and Sam Adams (brace) all scored for Stars, while Josee Adrian netted for Juniors.

Jacques Tuyisenge scored the only goal of the match as Kenyan champions Gor Mahia beat South African club SuperSport United 1-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.

At the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny, Komlan Agbegniadan's goal helped Ivorian outfit ASEC Mimosas overcome CR Belouizdad of Algeria 1-0 in Abidjan.

Malian side Djoliba edged out Nigeria club Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC 1-0 thanks to Mohamed Cisse's goal at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.

Goals from Ali Sadig Mousa and Ahmed Morsal helped Sudanese giants Al Hilal brush aside Nigerian club Akwa United 2-0 at the Al Hilal- Stadium in Omdurman.

The winners on aggregate will advance to the group stage.
