Makwaza took over the reigns at the club in September last year replacing Tenant Chilumba, but in an interim capacity until he was permanently employed on 12 February 2018.
He was in charge of 17 league matches in which he won six and drew four while losing seven, but took Napsa Stars to the final of the 2018 Barclays Cup which they lost to eventual champions Zanaco.
"Napsa Stars Football Club hereby announces the sidelining of its head coach Linos Makwaza, first assistant Dabtwitso Nkhoma and third assistant coach Harry Milanzi until further notice," read a statement released by the club on Monday.

"Meanwhile third assistant coach Donewell Yobe and Goalkeeper Coach Lameck Nyangu will oversee the training of the team in the interim."
