Aminu Mohammed, CK Akonnor win GPL monthly prizes

WAFA playmaker Aminu Mohammed and AshantiGold manager CK Akonnor have won the Ghana Premier League Player and Coach of the Month awards respectively.

Akonnor beat WAFA's Klavs Rasmussen and Henry Wellington of Accra Hearts of Oak to the prize after taking his team to three wins and draw through March.

Dreams FC's Zuberu Sharani and Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan were Mohammed’s competitors for the players’ prize, but the WAFA midfielder’s return of three goals, one assist and two man-of-the-match gongs put him on top.
