After launching an orphanage in his home country, Nigerian international striker Odion Ighalo has called for peace in the world.
The China-based striker with Yatai Changchun opened a home for orphans called Odion Ighalo Orphanage in December last year.
However, reports suggest that the player might have noticed some wrongs in how the home is run.
He posted on his social media pages that people must not take advantage of his kindness and generosity, but later deleted the message.
Furthermore, he called for peace in the world, saying he is just a boy kicking the ball around to survive.
This advice comes a few months after the 28-year-old footballer erected a multi-million Naira orphanage home in Ajegunle for the less privileged.
Ighalo also pointed out the growing rate of hatred, wickedness in the world and advocated peace and harmony.
"So much hatred and wickedness in the world today, what about if we all live in peace and wish each other well?but again what do I know? I’m just a local boy kicking the round leather thing to survive,” he said on Instagram.
Coming back to football news, the former Watford striker could not help Changchun as they lost 2–1 last weekend to Hebei CFFC.
However, they host Henan Jianye on Sunday and Ighalo will hope to score.
