In a twist of events, Zamalek coach Ehab Galal has decided to rethink his resignation and stay put with the Egyptian Premier League club.

The White Knights boss announced his decision to part ways with the club this past weekend after four months at the helm.

Galal led the club in 16 matches and confirmed his departure from the White Knights, but reports suggest that he met the club bosses and reversed his decision.

Following his announcement to step down from his managerial role after their late 1-0 loss to Misr El-Makkasa on Sunday, club president Mortada Mansour accepted Galal’s resignation on Monday morning.

Nonetheless, matters have changed and Zamalek held a meeting with the former ENPPI coach which resulted in him keeping his job.

“I abide by my post until the end of my contract. I am not used to running away from responsibility and I respect all the decisions of the board which entrusted me the team’s job despite the difficult circumstances,” Galal said.

“I pledge to rectify the team’s performance in the coming period. I respect my deal with the club and I am preparing with the players for our upcoming match against Ittihad of Alexandria.”
