Kampala Capital City Authority striker Allan Okello says scoring goals is a huge motivator after netting a brace for the Ugandan champions.
Okello says scoring motivates him and gives players more confidence as the youngster broke a resilient 10-man UPDF with two goals inside the last 10 minutes this past weekend.
The Ugandan Premier League clash was staged at StarTimes Stadium, with Mike Mutebi’s side returning to winning ways after losing to Mbarara City prior to that.
“As I have always said, scoring brings more confidence and motivates you as a player,” said Okello to Kawowo Sports.
“You don’t be a striker or an attacking midfielder when you don’t score goals.
“Obviously, the coach will also lose hope in you. So you need to always score and get chances of playing and playing and score more.”
The two goals against the army side bring his tally for the season to three after he also scored the winner against title rivals SC Villa.
