Ghana national team assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko has denied rumours linking him with a move to Hearts of Oak.
The Ghana Premier League side supposedly made contact with Tanko in the wake of their 3-0 loss to Berekum Chelsea this past weekend.
However, the Black Stars coach claims that no one from the ‘Rainbow Club’ has spoken to him or offered him any post.
"It's not true Hearts management have contacted me, I have heard such rumuors but it’s not true," Tanko told Oyerepa FM, as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.
"[Ghana FA communication director] Saanie Daara even sent me the stories making rounds in the social media. I am working for the national team and for now, I'm okay with it."
Hearts have been without a permanent head coach since Frank Nuttall was sacked weeks before the start of the 2018 GPL season.
Henry Wellington has taken up the role on a caretakers basis, but the Accra-based club’s results suggest that they need new leadership to get their season back on track.
