Arsenal have been boosted by the news that Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny will be available for their next English Premier League fixture.
The Gunners midfielder was sent off for the first time in his professional career in the 91st minute of this past weekend's EPL win over Southampton after an altercation with Jack Stephens.
However, Arsene Wenger’s men have successfully appealed the red card and the English Football Association has reversed the decision.
"Mohamed Elneny will be available for Arsenal’s next three games after an Independent Regulatory Commission accepted that he was wrongly dismissed for violent conduct against Southampton on Sunday, April 8, 2018," said the FA in a statement.
Following the red card, Elneny became the first Egyptian in any European league to receive his marching orders and was facing a suspension for his sending off.
However, the development means he will be available to face Newcastle United at St James' Park on Sunday.
