Liverpool cannot wait to have Guinea and RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita to boss the midfield in the English Premier League.
Keita has been described as a nasty little character who will give Jurgen Klopp’s side exactly what is missing next season.
The EPL side struck a deal with Leipzig in August last year to bring the gifted midfielder to Anfield for a fee worth in excess of £50 million this summer.
Keita's arrival is highly anticipated by Reds fans, and club legend Phil Thompson thinks the Syli Nationale star will give his side a new dimension in the midfield engine room.
"They've already strengthened with the signing of Keita from Leipzig. I think he is absolutely terrific," he told Sky Sports.
"I was watching him against just last week in the Europa League and my goodness, this guy will probably give us what we've lacked.
"In that three behind the front three - he gives you goals, he gives you assists, he gives you energy and he's a nasty little character.
"There is only James Milner who will really put his foot in and I think this guy could be a real sensation in the Premier League."
Meawhile, Keita will want to help the German Bundesliga side to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League as they meet Marseille in the second leg of their quarter-final on Thursday.
