Baroka FC will look to improve their Absa Premiership form when they host Maritzburg United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on 15 April 2018, kick-off at 15h00.
Baroka have won just one of their last nine league matches after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Mamelodi Sundowns on April 8. The Limpopo side has picked up just eight points from a possible 27 in the sequence.
Bakgaga have claimed 18 points from 13 home matches this season, though they have managed to win just one of their last five games as hosts.
Maritzburg played to their ninth draw of the season when they were held 1-1 at home by Cape Town City on April 7. The KwaZulu-Natal side were on course for all three points, but conceded a late equaliser to bring up a second straight winless match.
The Team of Choice has claimed 17 points from 13 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 2-1 defeat at outgoing champions Bidvest Wits in early April.
In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Maritzburg have met in three league matches since the start of last season. The Team of Choice boasts a 100 percent record in the rivalry, including a 3-0 triumph earlier this season in Pietermaritzburg thanks to goals from Evans Rusike (two) and Siphesihle Ndlovu.
Baroka’s line-up from their 2-1 loss to Sundowns on April 8: Dlamini, Kgoetyane, Madubanya, Banda, Mohwatseleng, Mothupa, Mdatsane, (Sodi 78’) Sidumo (Matloga 63’), Kgaswane, Chawapiwa (Ngalande 13’), Nguzana.
Maritzburg’s line-up from their 1-1 draw with City on April 7: Ofori, Thlone (De Reuck 64’), Xulu, Fransman, Sanoka, Makaringe, Ndlovu, Shandu, Maboe, Mekoa (Kunene 77’), Fillecia (Mokate 78’).
