Kwara United assistant coach, Suleiman Ashifat stated that his charges lost the ball too often to Enyimba hence they failed to win in midweek.

Ilchekwu Ibenegbu and Stephen Alfred both scored as Kwara and Enyimba drew 1-1 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match in Ilorin.

“We lacked composure in the first quarter of the game but we were able to correct that during the half time team talk,” he said on the league’s official website.

“We approached the second half differently tactically because we gave Enyimba plenty spaces to play.

“We had to close down the spaces and put pressure on them to get our equaliser.”

Struggling Kwara remained 20th on the league standings with 16 points from 15 games.

They will travel to the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium where they are set to face Enugu Rangers in a league game on Sunday.
