Senegal international Sadio Mane has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week for the second leg of the quarter-final round.
The 26-year-old was instrumental as his club Liverpool FC recorded a 2-1 win over fellow English side Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in midweek.
As a result, Liverpool advanced to the semi-finals after winning the tie 5-1 on aggregate. They will face Italian side AS Roma in the last four.
Mane scooped 51 percent of the votes cast to beat off competitions from AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko, Juventus marksman Mario Mandzukic and Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben to win the accolade.
The highly-rated attacker has scored 16 goals across all competitions in 37 appearances for Liverpool this season.
Liverpool are set to take on Bournemouth in a Premier League game at the Anfield Stadium on Saturday.
