Senegal and Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has made history after netting 44 goals in the English Premier League with his latest goal coming against Bournemouth on Saturday.

The in-form forward was on target during a meeting with Bournemouth and is now the top-scoring Senegalese star in English top flight competition.

With his latest goal, the ‘Smiling Assassin’ has made history with his 21st EPL goal in two seasons for the Anfield-based club.

His goal record includes a record-breaking hat-trick against Aston Villa in May 2015 which was recorded in just two minutes and 56 seconds.

Mane has formed a prolific attacking partnership this season with fellow ‘Fab Three’ members, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

He was the one to set the tone in their latest outing against Bournemouth, with a seventh-minute strike at Anfield taking his Premier League haul for the season into double figures and to a record-setting mark of 44 across his time in England.

Mane has hit his mark in 120 appearances for Southampton and Liverpool while Demba Ba, has found the target in 43 times in 99 outings for West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea.

He is, however, now plying his trade in Turkey with Goztepe and there is the promise of many more efforts to come from Mane as he continues to raise an impressive personal bar.
