Although the Egyptian Premier League side, Zamalek, have lost the opportunity to challenge for the league title, caretaker coach Khaled Galal has promised to win the Egyptian Cup.
This comes after coach Ihab Galal announced his resignation from the coaching role last Sunday that he is stepping down.
However, he reversed the decision, but the club terminated his contract and named Khaled Galal as the caretaker coach.
The new interim manager has vowed to meet fans' expectations in coming games, including winning the Egyptian Cup trophy.
After losing to Ismaily, Maqassa and Ittihad, Zamalek management terminated the contract of previous coach Ihab Galal and named (Khaled) Galal as the team's caretaker coach.
"We have to win all the coming games," Galal told Zamalek's official website.
"I will fight with all the team's players to achieve the Egypt Cup title to finish the season with a trophy, and we will compete in the Super Cup as well as secure a place in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
"I am confident of Zamalek's players' ability to get through the current bad atmosphere and will work hard with them to get back to our winning ways."
Zamalek are third in the league table with 54 points, six adrift of second-placed Ismaily and two clear of fourth-placed Masry, who still have three games in hand.
