Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Themba Zwane says he has been impressed by the title challenge mounted this season by their rivals Orlando Pirates.
The Buccaneers were in disarray last term, but in 2017/18 they have gone from strength to strength and emerged as the Brazilians’ main contenders for the title.
“Pirates have a strong team. You can see the way they play; their combinations, the way they go forward and they are organised at the back. They are a strong team and they have shown that they can compete,” said ‘Downs midfield marshal Zwane, as quoted by Kick-Off.
Despite Pirates’ improvement, Sundowns remain the clear favourites to claim the title and will look to open up a six-point advantage this evening when they host Golden Arrows for a catch-up match.
The fixture is set for Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria and will get underway at 19h30 CAT.
