Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey has returned to training at Premier League club Leicester City, but will not play in their match against Southampton tonight.
The 23-year-old Black Stars player picked up a hamstring injury in the Foxes’ 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in early March.
He has resumed sessions with the first team after recovering from the muscle injury, but manager Claude Puel will not be considering him for their clash against the Saints.
“Amartey came back today in the training sessions, but it is not enough time to be available,” Puel said in a press conference on Wednesday.
The Ghanaian has made eight Premier League appearances this season and will hope to return to the matchday squad when Leicester play away to Crystal Palace next Saturday, April 28.
