Stanojlovic: Botswana U20 will be ready for Namibian counterparts

Botswana’s national under-20 side has began its preparations for the 2019 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in Namibia.

The Young Zebras are heading into the first round second-leg clash having drawn 0-0 with Namibia at home in their first-leg match last month.

Dragojlo Stanojlovic, who is in charge of Botswana, said training at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek will help his charges prepare well for Sunday’s clash.

The Botswana Football Association released the following statement ahead of the encounter:

“The Young Zebras today trained at the match venue the Sam Nujoma stadium for Sunday's Afcon Under 20 return leg.”

“Speaking briefly coach Drago said the pitch is not anything new to the boys as the are astrotuefs back home, the coach highlighted that the pitch was of the same size with the UB stadium.”

“The Gaffer said this will help their game plan as they have been training on an Astroturf at Lekidi.”
