Katsina United coach Abdullahi Biffo says his charges delivered when it was needed when speaking after their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match on Sunday.
The narrow win took United to second place on the league standings and they are now six points behind log leaders Lobi Stars.
The Changi Boys are undefeated in their last three games and Biffo was pleased with how his charges performed on the day.
“Yes, it was a very tough game for us because the goals were not coming after my boys have created a lot of scoring opportunities,” he said.
“But I am happy they delivered by scoring the winning goal when it mattered most.
“Kudos to the boys because they played with all their mind and that was the reason why we got the goal,” he continued.
“We have now shifted our attention to the next game which is against Plateau United.
“Hopefully, we will come back with something from Jos.”
