After netting a crucial goal for Napoli in the Italian Serie A last weekend, the Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly looks to be on his way out.
That is according to reports in Europe that English Premier League side Chelsea are preparing a staggering £65m offer for the defender.
The Senegalese defender headed the winner against Juventus on Sunday to blow the Serie A title race wide open.
Koulibaly has long been linked with a move to the English Premier League with giants such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all scouting him in the past.
However, latest reports suggest that the Blues have stolen a march on their rivals by preparing a £65m offer.
The 26-year-old joined the Partenopei from Belgian side KRC Genk in the summer of 2014 for just £7m and has made 161 appearances, scoring eight times in the process.
Following a poor run this term as they failed to retain their EPL title, Chelsea will be looking to tighten up their defence next season regardless of whether manager Antonio Conte stays on as manager or not.
Based on statistics, the Blues have conceded 34 goals in their 34 Premier League games, more than all the other top-five teams except Liverpool.
