Algeria’s friendly against 2018 World Cup participants Saudi Arabia will be held in the Spanish port city of Cadiz, it has been confirmed.

Le Buteur reports that the match has been confirmed for Estadio Ramon de Carranza, the home ground of Cadiz FC, on May 9.

The Saudi Arabian FA chose the venue and the match will reportedly not kick-off before 18h00 Spanish local time.

Algeria will send an ‘A’ team comprised mostly of local players as the match falls outside of a FIFA international window.

The Fennec Foxes, led by coach Rabah Madjer, will depart from Algiers on May 7 and return on the evening of the match.

The North Africans will use the game as preparation for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will resume in September.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, are warming up for their showing at Russia 2018, where they will face the host nation, Uruguay and Egypt in Group A.
