Vincent Aboubakar looks likely to be a champion of the Portuguese Primeira Liga with Porto this season.

The Dragons claimed a 5-1 win over Vitoria Setubal in their last league clash, played on Sunday, to remain two points clear of Benfica at the top of the table.

With three rounds of the 2017/18 campaign left to play, Porto’s destiny is very much in their own hands: pick up all nine points up for grabs, and the title will be theirs for the first time since 2013.

As for Aboubakar, he has made a great contribution to Porto’s campaign (15 goals in 27 appearances) but he is very much out of favour at the moment.

The 26-year-old has scored just three times since the turn of the year, with his last goal coming back in February.

As a result, he was not part of Porto’s squad for the 5-1 win over Setubal and it remains to be seen if he will return under coach Sergio Conceicao for the remainder of the season.

Porto will face Maritimo (away, April 29), Feirense (home, May 6) and Vitoria Guimaraes (away, May 13) in their remaining Primeira Liga matches.
