Ivory Coast international Max Gradel was praised by French Ligue 1’s official website following an encounter between Toulouse and Caen.

The 30-year-old was one of the best players on the pitch as the two teams played to a goalless stalemate in a Ligue 1 game which was played on Wednesday night.

“The lack of goals wasn't for the want of trying; at least not on Toulouse's part and certainly not Gradel's.”

“The Côte d'Ivoire winger was the most adventurous player on the park, laying on both first-half chances before coming inches away from an impressive winner.”

“And his seven goals and one Ligue 1 Conforama assist this season mean parent club Bournemouth may be keen to have him back next season after all,” a statement read on the Ligue 1 site read.

The speedy forward has been in good form for Toulouse having scored for the team in their 2-0 win over Angers SCO, before they faced Caen.

Gradel, who is on a season-long loan deal at Toulouse from English outfit AFC Bournemouth, is hoping to help his current club survive relegation.

Toulouse are currently five points above the relegation zone with four matches left.
